Sometimes, people make you feel like apologizing for the opportunities/gifts that the universe has bestowed on you. Some even belittle your successes and attribute it to just the opportunities. “She’s doing well just because her father has money.” “She got the job because of her beauty.” “He’s progressing in his career because he comes from old money.” “He passed exams because he has a godfather.” Forgetting that several have had such opportunities and made nothing out of their lives. I have written about eye candies that have abundance of sense several times.https://skinandall.com/an-ode-to-fine-people-with-sense-salut/
Dear Lord! That combination is a such a lethal one (in a good way). Especially when they don’t make it all about their looks. Kajepe mo lo fine jubayi lo peren! And ees like I have sense. Kai! Doors will just be opening. Let’s face it, everyone likes to see something pleasing to the eyes. When people ascribe your success to those attributes you possess, it may hurt especially when you even work harder than most people. They almost make it feel like you’re committing a sin because of those opportunities that you have. Something you should be thankful for now becomes something you’re hiding. One thing you should know? People will always have opinions and some of them may be unpleasant. It is up to you to determine how you let them make you feel. Make use of the opportunities life has given you unashamedly. The greatest innate gift (if you can call it that) I have is that I’m very discerning when it comes to people and I can flow with anyone – Young or old, rich or poor, Muslim/Christian/ Agnostic, handsome, pretty, omo wobe, sprikoko etc..lol. So armed with these two skills, if someone’s core values align with mine…you cannot ‘escape’ me if I want to be your friend o. And if they don’t, you cannot get close to me no matter how hard you try. It helps me to keep my circle sane. If you like, call me proud…that my friend, is your own personal problem😁. Be thankful for it, but never EVER apologize for those opportunities. You’ll never truly evolve in life if you don’t learn to drown the voices of those who have no positive impact on your life. That said, has anyone discovered how I can blow powder and my adopted ‘daddy’ Femi Otedola will give me one hundred million that he’s not using? ‘Blows powder’…..fuah. Otedola o. Otedola ooo. Eleketa yii ko jeminipe ni o (answer me on this third call)… Otedola oooo!!!. Lol….Don’t go and hustle. Be looking for free money up and down. Hunger will finish you!
